A two-vehicle crash left four people injured Sunday afternoon on Hwy. 71 near Angelo, Wis., authorities said. Police said a car driven by a 34-year-old woman rear-ended a sport utility vehicle that had stopped to turn into a driveway. The car's driver and the the 65-year-old driver of the SUV were both injured, authorities said, as well as the two passengers in the car, ages 21 and 15.
They were taken by ambulance to the Franciscan Skemp Hospital in Sparta, Wis., with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The car's driver was then transferred to Gunderson Hospital in La Cross, Wis., authorities said. Police said that no one in the car was wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident. Police are still investigating the crash.
