Snow storm about to strike Wausau

Posted on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 at 7:39 pm

According to the National Weather Service, the winter weather will be continuing in Wausau, Wisconsin.

The weather service predicts that a snow storm will create an extra 10 inches of snow in Wausau between Tuesday night and Wednesday. Meterologists in the Wausau area think that most of this snow will come down as a slushy mix, and may not stick that well.

The majority of the snow is set to fall during Tuesday night, with seven inches expected to blanket the ground. An additional three inches will fall at some point on Wednesday, for a total of 10 inches in the area.

Athletic director at University of Wisconsin admits to alcohol problem

Posted on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 at 8:37 pm

The University of Wisconsin senior associate athletic director has admitted to the public that he has let alcohol control his life for the past several months, and that he is taking full responsibility for his actions during that time.

One of his actions involves sexually assaulting a male student employee from the athletic department while in Pasadena, California. They were both in California to watch the University of Wisconsin football team participate in the Rose Bowl. A hotel party in the athletic director’s room resulted in him ingesting too much alcohol.

The director approached the student employee towards the end of the party and proceeded to place his hand inside the student’s pants. The student quickly reacted by removing the director’s hand and telling his immediate boss. Charges weren’t filed with police until the team arrived back in Madison, Wisconsin.
